SKV-R SPECS AND FEATURES
The GP-VAS System was developed to lower the shield pivot point and still open fully without contacting the shell, resulting in improved impact absorption performance in the FIA Standards' impact absorption test. Additionally, the highest point of the new shield in the closed position is 17mm lower than the previous model increasing the area of smooth surface above and improving it's glancing off ability.
The new center shield lock allows effortless function for both drivers and safety crew, from either side, with a positive lock that keeps the shield locked even when receiving an impact, clearing the FIA8859-2024.
To enhance visibility, the bottom of the eye port was cut lower for better visibility of critical gauges. Thanks to the experience of our R&D team, approximately 8mm of view at the bottom of the eye port was added without affecting the protection ability of the helmet.
The new removable liner allows for better airflow, easier cleaning and fitment adjustment. A 7mm dense foam pad and 5mm soft foam pad on both sides of the head liner can be removed for an adjustment of up to two sizes.
Redesigned cheek pads allow for easy microphone installation, with a small hole provided in the cover to allow for smooth routing and a clean look.
New for the SKV-R is a small precut portion of the upper corner of the cheek pad. When removed, this reduces upper cheek bone pressure, allowing glasses to rest more naturally.
The ventilation holes on the top of the helmet have been moved forward 15mm from the previous design, achieving better ventilation without compromising protection ability.

We take into account the proximity to the delivery location, stock levels, handling times & other factors when choosing the fulfillment location(s) for an order, to ensure the order items arrive as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Some manufacturers and US Distributors do not provide us with inventory levels, so we are unable to advertise their inventory quantities online. However, we will check the availability and fulfill orders from these manufacturers and US Distributors when applicable.

To ensure your order reaches you as quickly and efficiently as possible, we reserve the right to substitute your selected shipping carrier with an alternative provider.

- Service Level: We will only substitute a carrier if the estimated delivery timeline is the same as, or faster than, the method you originally selected.
- Tracking: Regardless of the carrier used, you will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.
Why your carrier might change:
- Supplier Adjustments: Many of our products ship directly from our specialized suppliers. To maintain efficiency, our suppliers may occasionally switch their preferred carrier based on current regional performance or updated logistics agreements.
- Operational Efficiency: If your chosen carrier is experiencing local delays, weather interruptions, or capacity issues, we may switch to a peer-level provider (e.g., swapping UPS Ground for FedEx Home Delivery) to keep your package moving.
Shipping Carriers & Delays
We utilize popular shipping carriers like FedEx, UPS & USPS for all shipments.Once an order has been dispatched from our facility, we are subject to the shipping carrier's policies, procedures, and estimated delivery times.While we work closely with our carriers to ensure timely delivery, please be aware that any delays that occur after the package is handed over to the carrier are outside of our control. Our company is not responsible for shipping delays caused by:
- Carrier Issues: Delays within the carrier's network (e.g., sorting errors, missed scans, operational issues).
- External Factors: Weather events, natural disasters, peak season surges (holidays), or other unforeseen circumstances.
Late Deliveries & RefundsShipping costs reflect the carrier's service. In the event of a significant delay, we recommend tracking your package directly on the carrier's website. If you believe there is an issue pleasecontact uswith your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.Please note we do not offer refunds on shipping fees for delayed packages if the delay is caused by the carrier.
How do I check the status of my order?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check it's status. You can also login to your account and check the status of your order from within your customer account.
If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation, please use the tracking number to check the shipment progress on the carrier's website. If you believe there is an issue please contact us with your name, order number, description of the issue, and we will look into it for you.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after your order ships to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be in brand new, uninstalled, and unmodified condition and be in the original undamaged product packaging (if applicable).
To start a return request, email sales@425motorsports.com and request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and include the following information in the email:
- The original order number and/or purchase order number
- Which items and quantities you wish to return
- Reason for the return
We'll respond via email at our earliest opportunity during business hours. If your return request is approved you'll receive an email with return instructions. After the product is returned, we'll issue your refund.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if any item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item(s), so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want in a timely manner is to do a return and a new purchase. Simply follow the above instructions to request your return. Once the return request is accepted and you receive return instructions, make a separate purchase for the new item(s).
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
